Daylen won 3rd place for his speech on "Optimism" which was at the Charleston Civic Center. I was able to take the day off of work and come and see him for a few hours in the middle of the week. It was such a treat for me just to spend a little time with him, even better that he won. He won $1500 to be used toward a scholarship if he decides to go to college.
